Carbon Fiber Exoskeleton

The Slingshot Socket™ is already lighter than most conventional sockets, but go ultra-light with a carbon fiber exoskeleton and reduce weight by an additional 40%.

The ultra-strong carbon fiber exoskeleton is required for users over 100kg (220 pounds).

The Slingshot Fusion™ can be assembled from modifying an existing carbon fiber socket, or can be custom fabricated from scratch if an existing socket is not available. If the pre-existing carbon fiber socket is not sufficiently strong for the trimming pattern, then a custom carbon fiber lamination may be required.

The Slingshot Sling™ can be integrated into an existing carbon fiber socket, or can be custom fabricated from scratch if an existing socket is not available. If the pre-existing carbon fiber socket is not sufficiently strong for the trimming pattern, then a custom carbon fiber lamination (the exoskeleton) may be required.

We have created a network of local Prosthetist who are already trained and experienced in fitting the Slingshot Socket™. We’ll facilitate making the introduction and getting them equipped with your selected socket configuration to Test Drive the Slingshot Socket™.

Local Prosthetists will typically bill your insurance provider for the Slingshot Socket™, using established Medicare/insurance coding and pricing.

Slingshot Tele-Health Fitting

For those who do not have convenient access to a Prosthetist and who can not travel to a Slingshot Clinic, we offer Tele-Health video-call fittings from the comfort of your own home, where our Clinical Team will guide you through the socket fitting and alignment step-by-step.

This can be a convenient option for technical savvy users who feel comfortable using hand tools such as Allen Wrenches and Scissors, and who are comfortable making guided alignment adjustments.
